If your swap isn’t working as expected, follow this guide to troubleshoot the issue. Below, we’ll explore two common scenarios:
Scenario 1: You Received a Notification That the Swap Was Not Successful
The most frequent reason for a failed swap is insufficient gas. To ensure the transaction can be completed, you need to have enough balance in the native currency of the chain you’re using (e.g., ETH for Ethereum, Arbitrum, or Base; Matic for Polygon; AVAX for Avalanche; BNB for Binance Smart Chain).
While Thane is in Beta, you can reach out to the Thane team via the @ThaneSupportBot for a gas top-up if needed.
If gas isn’t the issue, try re-submitting the swap. If it fails again, please contact the Thane support team and provide them with your wallet address, the chain, and the asset you are trying to swap.
Scenario 2: You Received a Confirmation That the Swap Was Completed Successfully
Same Chain Swap: For swaps occurring on the same chain, the transaction should complete within a few seconds, and your wallet balance should update accordingly.
Cross-Chain Swap: Cross-chain swaps may take several minutes to complete. If you don’t see your updated balance after a few minutes, please contact the Thane support team.
In either case, if you encounter issues or have concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Thane support team via the @ThaneSupportBot.
